A journey to discover the culinary heritage, traditional crafts, and rich cultural traditions of Northern Vietnam.
This Traditional Cake-Making, Tea Culture & Hammock Weaving Tour invites guests on an immersive cultural journey, where Northern Vietnam’s living traditions come to life. Rather than simply observing, visitors actively participate, creating meaningful connections with local culture through hands-on experiences.

Tour highlights
- Meet local artisans and discover the stories behind Vietnam’s traditional cakes. Take part in a hands-on workshop to make three signature specialties—bánh đúc (nutty rice flan cake with soup), chè lam (nutty ginger sticky rice bar), and bánh rợm (sticky rice dumpling) —from preparing the ingredients to completing the finished products, gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
- Relax in the peaceful surroundings of the farm while enjoying the cakes you have just made, savoring the simple yet authentic flavors of the Vietnamese countryside.
- Discover the art of Vietnamese tea culture through stories shared by local hosts. Learn traditional tea-brewing techniques and tea etiquette, then experience the harmony of pairing freshly brewed tea with classic Vietnamese cakes.
- Guided by skilled artisans from Giang Biên, explore the history of the village’s traditional hammock-weaving craft. Learn the fundamental weaving techniques and try your hand at the first steps of this time-honored craft, which has been passed down through generations of local families.
